Emer, Shaun and Deirdre’s classes joined a Christmas Card Exchange Project. The project involved making thirty Christmas cards and exchanging them with thirty schools across the U.S. and Canada.
We were so excited to receive our first card, all the way from Wisconsin.
Since then we have received cards from California, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Illinoise, Indiana, Kanas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Hamshire, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Saskatchewan in Canada. Each card contains an information leaflet about that class and most cards also contain a photo. What a great way to learn about our friends across the Atlantic!
Last Wednesday we Skyped Glenbrook Elementary, Pulaski in Wisconsin. They loved our Irish accents and were really interested when John told them all about hurling. They have over nine hundred children in their school. They also told us they have snow from now until the end of April. Hopefully we will Skype them again before St. Patrick’s Day.
Here is a photo of all the cards we have received so far.
We wait patiently every day for the postman to arrive to see where our cards will come from today!
