If You go Down to the Woods Today…….

We had a very enjoyable, indoors, Teddy Bear’s picnic on the 9th of February. There was a great variety of teddies at the picnic – from bugs to bears to monkeys. We heard lots of lovely stories about the teddies and the picnic was enjoyed by children and teddies alike! The staff, children and teddies in the Autism Unit  enjoyed the picnic too. We also had a visit from Dolores, our secretary, that day and she was invited back to the picnic on the condition she brought a teddy with her!

Horse Chestnut Tree update

New season, new visit to the horse chestnut tree! We went at the start of February, the very start of Spring, and we can report that the leaves have not yet begun to grow back. Watch this space however – we plan to visit the tree again nearer the end of Spring and we will report on the leaf status of said tree!

Thinking Outside the Box

On Monday the 20th of February, Jennifer and Ausra came to talk to us about architecture.   They talked to us about the past, present and future of architecture. Later they gave us cardboard boxes and asked us to draw a building for the future. It was really fun and we all enjoyed it.
