Last Tuesday we had a super afternoon with the active retired group.Niall O’Sullivan had organised for us to see a video about flax and linen. It detailed the story of the long process that Flax goes through before it becomes the lovely fabric we call linen. After the video we had a chance to see some objects, brought in by the group, that were used when they were small! It was a very interesting and informative afternoon. Thanks to all involved.
Have a look at some of the objects!

Last Friday, 16th December we paid a trip to the Midland Regional Hospital, the Day Care Centre and Riada House. The children from Fifth and Sixth Class sang a number of popular carols and performed a selection on the whistles.
On December 6th we went to the hall to meet up with the Ballinamere Active Retirement Group. We had a really lovely afternoon. We had a Christmas carol recital. We played some carols on our tin whistles and sang some hymns. We also played three carols on the chimes. Afterwards we chatted with the group and had a picture quiz. It was good fun! The afternoon was rounded off with a cuppa and some buns!
